The area around our small campsite is ideal for relaxing or informative walks and bike rides.
At the public parking lot just behind the campsite, there’s a starting point for the Klompenpad route. This 12, 15, or 18 km route takes you through forests, meadows, and past sights in and around Otterlo. There are plenty of other ways to explore Otterlo and its surroundings on foot. With the help of the well-maintained cycling network, you can explore the nearby and wider surroundings. Cycling north, you’ll pass through the Kootwijkerzand to Radio Kootwijk. For more information, check the website: Radio Kootwijk.
If you’re looking for a slightly flatter and more open area, you can cycle west towards Barneveld. This year, the Old Veluwe Market is taking place there for the sixtieth time in July and August.

Cycling south, you pass through the Ginkelse Heide, Kreelse Plas, and Planken Wambuis into the wooded and hilly area of the southwestern Veluwezoom.
Cycling east is really only possible through the national park De Hoge Veluwe. If you want to avoid the entrance, the route along the provincial road is an alternative. The bike path is excellent, but it runs right next to the highway.
